September 22, 2004 — Alexander has been pushed back three weeks from November 5th to November 24th, according to Variety. Some possible reasons for the date change include more editing time, more marketing time especially during the November elections, or perhaps the move was to place the film closer to other Oscar contenders.

The most likely reason: Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles will be released on November 5th. Nuff said.
