September 22, 2003 — Oliver Stone's Alexander started filming today with a bang:
On his first day of lensing, he'll be directing a cast of 800 to re-enact the Battle of Guagamela. "I figured that killing somebody right away is a good way to break the ice," Stone says.
The film will be the most expensive European film ever made. The film will shoot in Morocco, London's Pinewood Studios, and Thailand.
