You're right it wasn't as good as Troy, it was better. If you're looking for a dumbed down for hollywood and totally inacurate version of the story see Troy, but if you want to see a movie that actualy has ambition and grea realistic battle scenes that actualy have real strategies behind them see Alexander...I'll say it again...Rasario Dawson naked is worth the price alone.

the film got worse and worse as it went on. so much of the important history of Alexander was cut out, and I understand reasons, but to jus have Hopkins narrate in between was pitiful. There was so much over-acting. Oh, especially Angelina Jolie and her Transylvanian accent, that got on my nerves so bad that I was screaming and laughing. Val Kilmer was still stuck playing Jim Morrison from The Doors, and Jared Leto and Rosario Dawson were so lifeless!!! And speaking of Rosario Dawson, when were Asians black?

The fights were mediocre at best, and the camera was so shaky you couldnt tell what was going on. For all I could tell the soldiers were raving to Red Hot Chili Peppers!!! The History Channel's presentation was better than this 3 hr turd!!!

If you have any dignity or pride dont go see this trash! the last good Oliver Stome film was Platoon, IN 1981!!!!!

Troy was Oscar caliber compared to this, and Troy was barely decent. Im going to have to drop out of my Advanced Placement classes cuz my IQ was dropped so much after seeing this so called film.
