Dramatic

In a lot of ways Alexander is dramatic from its scenes of the many heart- breaking aftermaths of war.

Realistic

Alexander was realistic in its epic battles with the blood. It was used realistically and quite often stunned me to see such images.

Gruesome

Gruesome in the same aspects of the Realistic elements of Alexander. The battles in this film were intense and brutal.

Personally I think Alexander didn't deserve the ratings it received from many critiques and reviewers. It is what I was looking for in films such as these, and gladly I am happy to say that I found it.

i haven't seen alexander yet, but it's one of the last couple of films i wanna see before the new year rings in. i thought troy was pretty good, king arthur looked like crap and i didn't even need to see it, the preview alone told me hell no, save your money.

anyways, im sure i'll enjoy alexander as much as i did with troy, the last samurai and gladiator. peace.

OMG why is everyone so hostile about this!!! I really liked King Arthur (no matter what anyone says) and didn't like Troy that much and I loved Alexander... it just depends on what everyone looks for in a movie... yes there's some weird acting/accents... but that's not what I go to the movies to see... the most accurate greek accent is far from what's important. Aaaanyway I'd recommend it to anyone who likes movies as art and not as documentaries... It's OK if you liked Troy even if I didn't... this coming from someone who likes Hilary Duff movies...
