yup 1979 is correct from what I know of (saw it in the theatre then lol)

This was actually announced a little while back (maybe a few weeks not sure of exact date) .

it is being re-relased on 10-31-03 world wide (there is a bug with our clock that is in the works of being fixed) - I for one cannot wait to see it again

They have rumors floating too that if this one does well - they may re-release the second one as well next summer

Also, theres a bug for the search thingy. Each time I type in Alien, 25th Anniversary, re-release, etc. this movie doesn't come up. Any ideas?

Oh my god. This like gives me te chance to see one of my all time favorite movies I would have never been able to see before. Oh this really is a great day. Now on another note i need some technical help. I see here that Kit-Kat is the "Editor" of this board. I'm new to this and could somebody tell me what this "Editor" does and how you become one? I'd appreciae any feedback.

yea there will be its the directors cut i already saw the footage in my 20th anniversery DVD but im still gonna watch it anyways youll love the deleted scenes

the search thing is a bit buggy for now. sorry I missed this post! such a busy gal you know... I put up the official name today since it was confirmed they are doing the Alien: The Director's Cut in lieu of the 25th anniversary title.
