There is no reason for the nasty posts I've been seeing on this board. What gives? Just because someone doesn't agree with you? I'll bet if you went outside (or to a mall, etc) right now you'd find different opinions and probably a few who'd ask "What the hell is a Watchmen?"

Yes this is the place to DISCUSS movies, and no, we don't have a problem with the heated discussions either - it's the blatant attacking that has to stop.

I completely understand what your saying and I respect that. I as well hate it when I post something and get personally attacked but, I really pay no attention to it. In all honesty, if anyone is going to even bother to care over something said over the Internet then I feel real sorry for them for even bothering to listen to it. Personally Attacking people over the Internet shows a lot behind the character behind that person to have a lot of low self esteem issues about themselves so they come online where they wear a mask to cover their true selves and become something else because they don't have the courage themselves to become in reality. So let the haters say what they want and the smart ones let them vent out because silence is the best weapon used against those who need the attention. Taking Psychology 101 paid off

Too bad the person who attacked wasn't too bright about it and didn't check his facts first.

I'm not here to start trouble, but when the first response to a post is something along the lines of "you're an idiot," especially if the post is well-thought out... Well, yeah, I start to wonder. It kind of makes it pointless when people turn a discussion board into a flame-war.

And believe me, it will continue. As long as BatSTUD is around, as well as the others who have been fighting lately, it will continue.

The answer is simple. This site is full of haters. Pure and simple. If you don't agree with the general consensus of everyone elses opinion your branded a moron. And no one wants to be an outsider so sometimes people jump right on the bashing bandwagon even if they really don't feel that way. It's that gang mentality. True. By and large, Countingdown has always been one of the more friendly forums I have visited... until I saw this board.

I mean, seriously, it's becoming like the IMDB boards, which are notorious for their maddening ignorance.

Lately, it's mainly just "blah blah blah...you're a moron blah blah blah."

No one can really back up why they're calling you a moron. It's all opinions stated as facts, and if you disagree, you're a moron. Hell, even if you're the one stating actual facts, you're still a moron.

I didn't bash someone for liking Dragonball. I just bash Dragonball itself not the person that likes it like Chou Zu. I have nothing against him even he likes DB and I don't like it. It's like when Infamous Emijayne bash something that is not being faithful to the source material and it's terrible or its garbage. That is the kind of bashing I mostly do but not bashing someone for liking it.

I definitely did not bash Street Fighter. I like Street Fighter but I said the new movie was going to suck though. If you mean about me bashing Kim Wilson for liking both of them. Well I apologized to her. I was out of line and I was treating her like Darth Tritium, Psycho1, and probably some others like BatSTUD treated me. I know Darth Tritium doesn't do it to me anymore though.

I'm not trying to put you on the spot bro, I was just using you as an example of how we all get caught up in it. No one wants to be the victim of the bashing all the time. Sometimes it just feels good to be the predator instead of the prey. It doesn't make it right but hell, that's human nature. Most time I just skip over those threads where all that's going on is insulting one another. I mean hell, just the other day Megatron, I think it was, got torn to shreds for nearly a full page just for contradicting someone on the whole Weapon XI or Weapon 11 thing. People need to grow up and just let things go. Afterall it's only a website.

No one likes trekker here. They only thing on this site that he has to say is about star trek (even on threads discussing the new TF2 trailer, Wolverine trailer, etc. seriously?!).
