yes some of you maybe loven some of you maybe haten but me im just a hater for this movie. he not only took away my 2 hr 43 minutes of life but turn me down into liking this movie and 300 he made was awesome this on the other hand this movie barely comes close to action movie.
it only lasts maybe 15 mins of action out of a long film and wheres the hero's? i didnt see a comic book movie i only seen something like watchen out of a movie that bores you to death with constant talking of BS that isnt getting anywhere.

I'm sure he's absolutely gutted that he let you down.

From what I can read of what you said, it's clear that you went to see this film without having read the graphic novel.

What you seem to be missing is that this work of art (film or GN) DEFIES GENRE. It isn't an action movie. It isn't that black and white.

The story is the reason the graphic novel is critically acclaimed and loved by millions, and the film did not change a single aspect of the story.

And he didn't take away two hours and forty-three minutes of your life - you did, and it's no-one's fault if you didn't like it because clearly you were misinformed about what the film was about - compelling origional story with deep, realistic characters rather than an 'action movie'.

Why does everyone insist that "superhero" movies be nonstop action? Or that they have Sequels? This country needs to stop rotting it's mind on "popcorn" movies and do some READING! D--- and F--- jokes have their place as do mindless, plotless action or B moives but not at the expense of good storytelling and plot filled movies like Watchmen. Movies and TV should be another medium for storytelling but not replace liturature. If you did not like Watchmen, you simply did not understand it, PERIOD!!

This movie was all special effects and no story. They completely mangled the story of the graphic novel until it disappeared entirely. I was so excited for this movie as an avid fan, but it was easily one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I wish I was exaggerating. half the people in the theater left before the second hour. I wish I was one of them, but I kept telling myself it would get better... it didn't.

I really don't think millions have read and love this novel, but it doesn't matter. Most people seem pleased with it.

Buddy, my guess is you went and saw the wrong movie. You thought you were seeing an X-Men movie or a Batman flick. You weren't. You were seeing a movie based on a 12-issue character study of superhero iconography.
Maybe you should do a better job of finding out what you are seeing before you drop $10 on a ticket.

The only things that I didnt like was the alternate ending, and the take on Ozymandias. If anyone is interested I will explain further.

I also thought that up untill the breakout scene, the movie was perfect. After that, it wasn't as faithful and cut alot of stuff out. Might have been better as a two part series, is all I'm sayin'.

Anyways, great movie.

I liked the movie... but the more I thought about it, I really liked it. The only small tincy wincy complaint I have, is the music didn't fit most of the scenes. Thats my only complaint. Cmc28 Im interested in the take on Ozymandias..
