Initially reported to be released on September 2nd, the second season of 24 is now being said to be set for a release of September 16th. The 6-Disc set seems to be similar to the first season's DVD set (which actually helped boost the show's ratings this past season) and will likely attract even more new viewers.

Some believe the move was due in part to avoid head-to-head competition with the 6-Disc Alias: Season One set, being released on September 2nd. The two shows have similar audiences, and the move was probably good for both releases.
