Could the Jack Bauer Power Hour be coming to your local theatre? It seems that Fox has at least some preliminary ideas to try and turn its popular TV series "24" into a feature film. While a script hasn't yet been developed, producer/director Jon Cassar said the film is a possibility and at least two years away from any real production. The problem right now, according to Cassar, is trying to figure out how to adapt the format of "24," where 24 hours play out in real time over the course of a season. One of the ideas currently being tossed around would have half the film transpire like a normal movie with the real-time gimmick kicking in with an hour left in the movie. As for the plot, they're waiting to see exactly what transpires over the next two seasons before commiting to anything. Perhaps if they know in advance they can have the end of one season lead into the film with a bitchin cliffhanger. Thelast season ended with
Jack Bauer presumed dead and left to wander the Earth on the lam from pretty much everyone (especially the Chinese government who want him in prison for the death of a consulate). Perhaps the best thing about a "24" movie would finally letting Jack Bauer use some profanities. This just seems like a guy who doesn't say "damn it!" as often as he does. He needs a few F-bombs.

Just when it looked like he was going to be stuck in the box forever - not these he's complaining, you could imagine the Ben's that are aligning his wallet thanks to the series - Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed there are plans to take "24" to the big screen, and he will be back as Jack Bauer.

"We have talked about it. Our biggest problem right now is getting the writers to find enough time to write a screenplay", he tells Empire Online.
"There are certain inherent challenges in trying to make something in real time over a two-hour period thats going to allow enough to be engaging. I certainly believe that theyre going to accomplish that, but I dont think thats going to happenwell, it might happen for next yearfor next years hiatus. Were not sure yet, but they have been working on it."
What's the bet Elisha Cuthbert puts her hand up for a Kimmy reprise then?
