February 3, 2004 — According to a source for Bloody-Disgusting, Brad Dourif will not return to voice Chucky in Seed of Chucky. Apparently, he wasn't impressed with the tone of the script, and after playing Grima Wormtongue in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, he believes that his career has taken a new turn.

Christian Slater has been talking to the studio about replacing Dourif because of a voice similarity to Chucky. This, of course, is all unconfirmed.

UPDATE: Writer/director Don Mancini told Creature-Corner that the above rumor is not true:

"Ridiculous rumor #109. Brad is signed, sealed, and thrilled to death. I had lunch with him on Saturday."
