Jackie Chan Refused To Allow a Personal Tragedy to Affect the Filming

August 21, 2003 — When Jackie Chan received news of the death of his 86-year-old mother, he did not call time out to mourn. He kept the news to himself. But his director and close friend Gordon Chan, 43, did notice that the happy-go-lucky star was quieter than usual. When he later found out that Chan had not wanted to hold up filming for fear of the movie falling behind schedule, he was moved by his professionalism. Read more at this link:
