"It is a wonderful moment in my life to be able to use my position to encourage my fans and everyone around our world to help Operation Smile give kids around this world the opportunity to smile. We can't do it without all of you so please take my lead".
Everyone laughs when they are happy, however do you know there are some people who are shy to smile? According to the Operation Smile, there are 2.7million children suffering from facial deformities. These children are too poor that they cannot afford the surgery fee but only wait for the free reconstructive surgery provided by Operation Smile.
As humankind, we are obligated to help these children. That's why Jackie played in a promotional video program asking people to support the organization. The program will first broadcast on Phoenix Satellite in 1 of May.

Operation smile is a private, not-for-profit volunteer medical services organization providing reconstructive surgery and related health care to indigent children and young adults in the world.
Since 1993, international action movie star Jackie Chan has been the Ambassador for Operation Smile China Medical Mission, which raises funds and support for Operation Smiles missions throughout China. A strong advocate for children, Mr. Chan has generously donated $2 million (HK) and an anesthesia machine to help provide more Operation Smile surgeries for children in China.
To increase his support, Mr. Chan inaugurates the Friends of Operation Smile Campaign, serving as its ambassador for 2003. Mr. Chan will launch the campaign at a press conference at the Hotel Miramar at 3:30 PM in Hong Kong on Saturday, March 1.
