Forget what everyone says. This looks 100% like Garfield. If they made him any more realalistic, he wouldn't be Garfield at all!! I relaize he nolonger has the black strips. The Dark Orange makes MUCH more since for relalisum anyway. If they gave him black strips, he'll look like a tiger and we don't want that.
People complain that he is surppose to be lazy and slow like in the comic and cartoon. All I can say is SHUT UP!! If you were TRUE "Fans" then you would know he's not really lazy. Both the comic and cartoon have him moving at lighting speeds to get to food, get away from dogs, and the like. No wonder he's lost so much weight over the years. His'e only really lazy when he's watching TV or Sleeping. But even that doesn't stop him from speeding to the kitchen when he smells lusuagna!
Others complain that he moves his mouth when he talks. Once again, SHUT UP!! It's a live action movie taking hints and stuff from previouse movies similar to it. Look at the movie "Cats and Dogs." They talk with thier mouths, and yet not the 1st human hears or understands them. Why? Because they are ANIMALS. Humans Don't Speak Animal! For a Live action film it just makes MORE Sence. He'll get confusing other wise.
There's even people complaing b/c Garfield tries to save Odie in the trailer. They keep saying that he Hates Odie. He does NOT hate Odie. He's helped Odie out of a LOT of jams in the comic and cartoon. I remember Garfield elling Odie that he loves him (like a brother). If he hated him, he would have let him fall off the cliff all those years ago. Sheesh! Give me a break people!
I honestly can't wait for this film. I grew up reading the comics and watching the cartoons. They got me started drawing I now have my own Large eyed character and working on a book. This is going to be MUCH better the Scoopy Doo!!
Yep, I believe you're right! I just can't wait neither to see this movie. As you say, since it is a MOVIE, with real people, Garf had to look a bit more... real, too. He couldn't be exactly like in the bd, but I love the results. The new Garfield is sooo cute! And the movie looks great too. You won't be the only one in the movie theater!

Doesnht Really look like Garfield to me, his head is small and his body is HUGE! the supposed to be about the same.
