War of the Worlds “I was an Extra” — shortwitch20 [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... They filmed the movie near where I live in Athens N.Y earlier in Dec. Most of my friends were extras. They said it was a scene where [SPOILER] Tom Cruise is running for the last ferry out of town. But he's not the only one running 1,000 extras were running for the same thing. [/SPOILER] And with Tanks and the army fighting Aliens, bombs, fire balls, people being blown up. This movie looked great being filmed * I was watching from a fair distance* and I can tell you this film will make you think twice about the world you live in.
