May 13, 2004 — Director Steve Lisberger ("Tron") told UGO that a sequel to Tron is still in the works:
"There have been a couple of scripts written. Some work has been done to follow in the footsteps of Tron 2.0, which had a new user go into the world. I think it's still up in the air."
