April 1, 2002 — That is according to Bill Paxton, who is a friend of James Cameron and played the sleazy used car salesman in True Lies. Paxton told About.com:
"I don't think there's going to be a True Lies 2, but I'm not the person to talk to about that," Paxton said. "I made a trip to Titanic with Jim back in August and September. I made four descents down to Titanic and [the sequel] came up. I think in light of the events of September, I don't think Jim Cameron will be in any way, shape or form involved in a sequel to that movie. That's my opinion. I can't really speak for Jim."
Let's hope this is not true.
