March 17, 2003 — Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings) is in negotiations to star opposite Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore in 50 First Kisses. "Kisses" is about a man (Sandler) who falls in love with a woman (Barrymore) after a memorable encounter but finds out that she has short-term memory loss. Because she has no idea who he is, he has to get her to fall in love with him all over again every day. Astin will play Barrymore's brother, who speaks with a lisp.
