The reason why she couldn't remember was because a scar tissue was blocking her short term and long term memory. The doctor said it was "most probably permanent" but not necessarily. Considering she has dreams about him every night, that means she HAS to be remembering. That also means that her scar tissue was obviously healing, although it doesn't happen over night. She slowly remembers. That's why every morning she did overreact

Actually, she doesn't really remember it by her short term memory. It's because of her subconscious. When we sleep, our subconscious wakes up and that's how she sees things about Henry.
