The Chronicles of Riddick “Good, but better on dvd” — Deaconwalken [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... Nothing Entered Yet! Movie Review: My thoughts on this movie... Good movie but it could have been better.But I think it has more to do with limitations put on the filmaker by the pinheads at the studio than the filmaker himself. It has to be no longer than two hours, it has to be PG13. They dumb movies down and tie the directors hands. Sure you can tell the studio to blow you when your Spielberg. But when your David Twoey you don't make waves. But it was still a great attempt to make something grand. The sets,costumes, worlds were top notch. And how good are the reviews gonna be anyway when the main villain is a guy who is leading a death worshiping society on a crusade to bring our universe to the doorstep of a funeral dimension. Put it on a special edition director's dvd with all the scenes left out for time and rating constaints and you'll have one bad ass flick worthy of David Lynch's Dune. Another great movie that could have been greater if the filmaker was given more reign. One small complaint to the director though.Pull back on some of the action man, what the hell is goin on.
