Here is what it say about the DVD release at DVDanswers.com http://www.dvdanswers.com
/index.php?r=0&s=1&c=4560

"Title: The Chronicles of Riddick
Starring: Vin Diesel
Released: 16th November 2004
SRP: $29.98

Further Details
Universal has announced the official release date for The Chronicles of Riddick which stars Vin Diesel, Thandie Newton, Judi Dench and Keith David. The hit David Twohy directed sequel, will be available to own from the 16th November in both rated and unrated director's cuts. Each will retail at around $29.98 a pop. Both of the discs will carry 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround, French Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround tracks. I'm afraid we have no details on extra material yet, although we can confirm that the director's cut will include an additional seven minutes of footage. We'll bring you further details on this one, shortly. Stay tuned."

I thought there was around 50 min of cut footage but they are only going to put 7 min of it in the dvd..... What the @%*#?!?!?!
Dose any one else have any news on the dvd? I hope they don't mess up the dvd release like they did the theater release.

The directors uncut version is the best bet... go with that one. I did.
