Its doesn't say much but Chronicles was much better than Van Helsing. I was surprised by the film's legitimate attempt to infuse some real sci-fi elements into its events. At times it was predictably cheesy, but on whole it worked as an action romp. Click for here for a more in-depth review.
I agree, Van Helsing was a disappointment. Chronicles blew me away. I just wish it got a better rep from critics, maybe thats why it isnt doing that great at the box office? I wish it would get the credit it deserves.
