How come I didn't no that?
I didn't want her to be a fur-whatever but i am extremely pissed off she died and I think they will resurrect her. I was expecting her to die in furture sequels but not in this one. Her death WAS way to quick. I think he goes to the underverse to get her in the next one.

Will someone please thoroughly explain why they think or know kyra is a furyan. how does Riddick know? Does kyra know?Why didn't they talk about it?Where is it in the book? how did you know kyra is a base furyan.

Not to be buzzing all in on your argument, i am a newbie for one, and I just got back from seeing COR, and i was certainly pissed off that Kyra was killed off at the end.

But if you can remember a while back that (if you read it) Sci-Fi Wire talked with David Twohy (The director) and he said that he is planning a Kyra spin-off series to come to the sc-fi channel. I do remember seeing that on sci-fi.com a while back and that was also on coming soon.net

But why would they do that when she died? I hope the ressurrection idea does come to mind, or the series could be from the time she was 12 to the time she meets up with riddick on that volcanic planet.

Again, sorry for butting in, i just wanted to clear that up. Oh and on upcomingmovies.com they said on the chronicles of riddick thingy, that David T. (Director) is working on The Underverse (The third Riddick movie)

I swear to GOD that if COR dosnt get an Oscar or something, I will go on strike. That movie was really good.

Oh and i did get the special edition dvd, it had some good **** on it. Did anyone see Dark Fury yet, it's good if you watch it before seeing COR. And i never read the book, I never heard them say that Kyra was a furian. That's weird.

Well, I kinda think it sucked that she dies, but with all the talk from on the boards here and the way the movie ends...I'm thinkin' that a trip to the Underverse is pretty much a guarantee for the sequel...so we'll be seein' Kyra again soon friends! Oh, and on the topic of her and her Furian heritage...I don't remember hearin' anything about it in the movie, but believe me, I was lookin'! See, on the CoR page here on Countingdown.com, in the news section, they had an interview with some actress chick (I would think it's the one that played Kyra) and she said that her character was a Furian as well as Riddick! Then, I go and see the movie, and the only other Furian I spot was the Lord Marshals stooge who fries himself...so needless to say, I was a tad confused. But, I'm probably gonna go see it again this weekends with some friends, so I'll keep an eye out for it...other than that, this movie rocked and if you know anyone that HASN'T seen it...GET THEIR ASSES IN THE THEATER!!!! And with that...I'm outtie. Peace.

Im seeing it again. Yeah, i don't think that David T. could possibly keep Kyra dead. Like i said before, of all this talk about making a kyra tv series, and a third Riddick film called The Underverse. I think the underverse will be about Riddick trying to lead the necromongers, after he killed Lord Marshal and they said "You keep what you kill". And besides, its the future, if they could do all that sci-fi s**t, then bringing Kyra back to life would'nt be any hassle.

I think many people were dissapointed that Kyra was killed off, and maybe they will realize how much of a mistake they made and bring her a** back. I actually cried at the end, when Riddick was crying. lol.

Still cant wait to see how The Underverse will turn out.

I think she will be brought back. The writers had to have had her converted for a reason. The Lord Marshal guy had been to the Underverse and come back, so why can't Kyra? I think Riddick will go after her, and when they get back, he'll be able to do all those things that the Lord Marshal could do in this movie. Kinda like an upgrade. Make him more powerfull.
So to answer your question, No. I don't think they'll keep her dead.

I'm sorry Jadakiss88 but I am going to have to call BS on the eyes thing. I have seen Pitch Black, I have seen Dark Fury, I have seen COR, I have read COR, and I even watched the animated short on PitchBlack.com explained how Riddick got his eyes.

ALL OFF THEM SAY IT WAS DONE SURGICALLY!

See page 285-286 of the book. "Only that is was as much a part of him. of his mental and physical makeup, as the fingers on his hands znd the implants in his eyes."

Granted yes he is an Alpha Furyan (p 287) and yes it seems to give him some super human powers. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS EYES.
