Every up and comming action movie I look at on this site the Rock is mentiond it's getting on my nerves.

Dolf Lungren is the actor who looks the most like duke and I think he could pull it off. any other ideas bering in mind the guy has to be well over 6ft.

Or if we go for the attitude Bruce Campbell would be good but he'd need to pile on the bulk first. "Give me some sugar baby"

Actually I think the movie should be in that comic/action style that Army of Darkness had.

i completely agree, the rock is a wrestler that throws people on to paper mats for show he should get any big title rolls for god sake!

i tihnk the idea of comic/action is good, cause the game is sorta like that, but if its too be good it has to stray from the comicy sorta bit, i mean army of darkness was good for familry gatherings, but what we want to see is lots of gore and plenty of spent catridges!

No more 'Raaslers' in movies, please. No Rock, No Brock. I like the idea of Dolph. I'm sure he's not too busy with anything else at the moment. As for Bruce... not sure that he would dye his hair blond, I know he wouldn't put on the muscle for a movie and considering Sam Raimi was pissed that the Duke creators stole most of Ash's quips, I'm thinkin' that's not going to happen. My darkhorse picks would be Aaron Eckhart (if he doesn't get Captain America) and Sylvester Stallone... before you say no think about it. Look at Duke's lip snarl, he's got the physique for it and he needs a kick in his action career's ass.

I have seen a lot of names being tossed around for this role one being the rock but he dosent even look the part and vin deisel the man dosent even have any hair but these names come up for every action movie i look at and quite frankly it is pissing me off. for these roles why not get someone who acually looks the part at least more than those other roles why not Dolph Lundgren or Arnlod Swarchenager either of those would be great choices and thats coming from a guy who grew up playing these games for years.

I think it should be an unknown... the same with all cases of game movies and comic book movies.. they should all be unknown... its cool that they use top hollywood actors and they actually do pretty good but for some movies it just doesnt feel right

I don't think that Mickey Rourke would be a bad choice...he was fantastic as Marv in Sin City...a role in which he definitely packed on the muscle for..and he has the whole smart ass routine with him as well...good choice in my opinion

i think a good person to play duke is that guy that played ice-man in top gun, he looks alot like duke and has the personality. and it would be good if they filmed it the same way Doom.

Like the original poster said, The Rock Should not play Duke. he screwed up the Doom movie and he would screw up Duke Nukem. I agree with the original poster, Dolph Lundgren would be great as Duke.

But, If it HAS to be a wrestler, I think Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner would be a good choice. (Physique-wise anyway)

If you want the movie to be successful, you would have to look for an actor with star status. Dalph however you spell it, is old and pretty much hasn't done a movie that's gone straight to video in 15-20 years. Brock Lesnar hasn't ever done a movie, so I don't see him carrying the film. but basin a character on looks is probably the wrong way to go.

I don't really have any suggestions, but you got to think bigger for a movie like that otherwise you just looking a flash in the pan. Like Doom was.
