June 25, 2001 — Ivan Reitman has been talking, briefly, about his developing remake of The Pink Panther, which is likely to star Mike Myers. While talking to Cinescape Online's Cin City columnist, Cindy Pearlman, Reitman gave the latest word on the project, saying, "Mike and I are working on a script right now... We want something fresh and new. Mike has to find a whole new character for himself that's not Peter Sellers, but is also not Austin Powers."
