| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |

| Let me start off by saying that I was really looking forward to this movie (wasn't everyone?) since Chamber of Secrets was released on DVD, b/c for one, Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite book out of the series so far and b/c I wanted to see if Alfonso could do as an efficient job as Chris did. |

| My thoughts on this movie... |

| Like I said above, I've really been anxious to see Prisoner of Azkaban since Chamber was released on DVD, so I made sure that I read the book enough times so I could get the plot burned in my memory before I went to go see the film. I thought they did manage to keep in the main story points (Sirius Black's escape, his motivation following his escape, the Dementors, the Marauder's Map, Lupin's lycanthropy, Hermione's mysterious method of getting to all of her classes, stuff like that), but I was really surprised to see some non-book-related events scattered throughout the film:[SPOILER] like the conversation between Lupin and Harry on the bridge [/SPOILER]. Rowling stated that Alfonso foreshadowed events which would occur in the last two books in the film, and after seeing it twice I still couldn't figure out what the rest of them were (the spoiler above was the only one I could assume as one of them). Well, I'll wrap it up here, but as for the reason why I gave this a 3 and 1/2 star rating is b/c I thought it was good, but not totally perfect. It could've been a bit longer for one. |
