December 2, 2003 — In issue 174 of Empire Magazine, there's a short interview with Gary Oldman about life on the set and the fate of his character.
"Yes I've heard," wails Gary Oldman good-humouredly. "I haven't read the fifth Harry Potter book yet, but someone let the ending slip. It's not good news, is it?" Still despite knowing that J.K Rowling has a grim surprise in store for his character, Sirius Black, Oldman's having a great time on the set of Harry Potter 3. "Alfonso has his own take on it", he says. "I think it's going to be the best one yet, but I would say that." A good thing too, as the fourth film will be starting next year, under Mike Newell. "Yeah, I'm going to do the next one," smiles Oldman. "Although I'm not sure if I'm supposed to say that."
