November 11, 2003 — The Dreamworks SKG Fansite reports that a sequel to the unreleased Cat in the Hat is already in the works.

Universal will join forces with DreamWorks and Imagine Entertainment once again for The Cat in the Hat Comes Back which goes behind cameras in 6-8 months.

USAToday reports that the final draf is done and the entire cast is expected to return with Brian Gazer serving as a producer once again. No information on the director and release date was given but one can expect it around Thanksgiving 2005.
