In a previous posting, it said that the location was Pomona, CA and not Simi Valley, which may or may not be true. If you are driving westbound on the 118 Freeway through Simi Valley and into Moorpark, about 1-2 miles past the Madera Road exit, you can see very large, very PURPLE houses in the hills to the left. It has been rumored to be the set of The Cat in the Hat.
'Anonymous' sends in this update:
' The Purple houses in Simi Valley may be part of the set, but there has been filming in Pomona, and most of the pictures that have been released recently are from the scond street shoot. It's an "antique row" that's been completely redone. They're starting to take everything down now, but it may take awhile. Second Street can be found by exiting at Garey from the 10 freeway, and going south. The brightly painted stores are VERY noticeable, and it's caused a lot of traffic in Pomona, recently.'
