| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |

I've been counting down the days until this movie is released since the end credits began to roll on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, last year.
No, I'm not a complete, rabid fan, who has elevated my passion for this brand of fiction to the status of a religion, like many fans of Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, or even Harry Potter. I'm just someone who is very, very happy to be excited about movies, again.
I haven't been this excited about movies since, perhaps, Star Wars (the original), or Raiders of the Lost Ark, or Jaws. The sequels to all of those movies kept getting worse, destroying all of the franchises... at least for my level of interest.
The Harry Potter books, however, just keep getting better, raising my level of excitement.
This WILL be a good season. We get a new Bond (yeah, okay, they're often dull, and lack focus, but it's BOND! I can't help but get excited when that familiar music begins to play), Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and a gaggle of possibly exciting original titles. Who could ask for more?
It's nice to be excited about a movie, for a change. Maybe it will be a fantastic piece of cinema, or maybe just a pretty good adaptation of the book. Either way, it's fun to recapture that sense of wonder and anticipation. I'd thought that maybe, just maybe, I had gotten too old to care about such things.
