I think in the upcoming Artemis fowl movie that dan should play the part. It would be a new role from the hero thing and it would get him out of the hp world just for a bit. Give him some experience with other films. I loved the books it was a bit simple though. So what do you all think i would love for you to post new roles for any of the hp stars especially Rupert.

I could see Dan playing the part definitely... but to get him away from Harry Potter completely, I think you'd have to choose something completely different and not in any way related to something 'fantasy' as Artemis Fowl is. Personally, I would love to see Llyod Alexander's series 'The Chronicles of Prydain' made into proper films (Disney did it's version with the Black Cauldron). The roles of Taran (hero) and Eilonwy (heroine) could be played perfectly by Daniel and Emma... but again, it's the fantasy genre. Rupert in 'Prydain'??? hmmm not sure on that one, but there is a character in later books called Prince Runn, Prince of Mona... but he dies in the last book.

I want to see Dan in Artemis Fowl. I think, I fell in love with the character, and seeing Dan do the part....that would be so cool. Plus, I wanna see him look smart and mean I also think, he could play Jonas from the Giver if they ever make a film for it. Peace.

Hey I think Dan would be realy really perfect for Darren Shan! I mean he would be absolutely perfect for that part!:-) I have not read the Artemis Fowl books yet but i am going to. Probably after I read them I might have to agree with you on that one but not yet though. Ok I kinda agree with you on that one. Does anyone else agree with me on the Darren Shan character? Has anyone else read The Cirque du Freak series? I ahve and they're awesome but Harry Potter series are my number one fave series to read and then the Darren Shan series. When I heard that David Heyman wants to turn that series into a film I was like, I know who would be perfect for that part of Darren Shan! :-) Well, see yeah and I hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas and Happy New Years :-)

Heck yeah! Same here!!! Wow I am stil reading the 4th Cirque Du Freak book and it is awesome. I already read the 1st HP book ummm 3v times, the 2nd HP book 6 times and the 3rd HP 6 times and the 4th HP book 4 times and reading that one again for 5 times and sooo can't wait for 5th book to come out!! and also the 5th Cirque du Freak book too. Nice pic! Man, I can't wait to go see HPCoS again adn again. I've only seen it 3 times and I am like desperate to see it again and again.

Radcliffe can't play Artemis Fowl in the movie versions. He's not Irish. Eoin Colfer(The author of the books) stated in an interview with WHSmith magazine that they are looking for an UNKNOWN IRISH boy for the part.

I love the books and after having read them a couple of times, i think they are much better and much, much more original than Harry Potter (sorry but it's MY OPINION) and i don't think Radcliffe is a good enough actor to play the criminal mastermind.

holy cow!! the chronicles of prydain are one of my favorite series of all time!! 'the high king' especially!! ever since they started making movies out of the harry potter and LOTR books, i've been wishing that someone would try to do the same for lloyd alexander's books. although i can't see any of the harry potter cast playing the roles of those characters i think the prydain characteres are a little bit older (not much)

i read the first artemis fowl book--it was pretty good i could see dan as artemis, but artemis is 12 years old in the book...by the time they cast the parts for the movie, dan might be a little too old.
