| My thoughts on this movie... |

I liked the first Tomb Raider, it had magic and god script. This sequel are beutiful and the locations perfect especially the underwatersequences in the start of the movie, cool like in intros in bondmovies but it also refer to the Tombraider games a bit more. But something is missing and that is complexity. Lara seems to have monopoly on everething cool and tuff! if a character comes close to that he/she must die. The sidekick Sheridan was unessery he only feels deliberety stupid so Croft can put him in his place. The Badguy in the first movie was a bit pathetic but mr Reiss was a good villian, creepy and sadistic.
The effects and stunts are terrific, Jolies performances is very good, she is the right pick for the role and she is also the main event in the movie do not expect more of the other cast except for Gerard Butler and the Villian. There are barely any female characters besides for Lara wich is sad when you think of how interesting a female counterpart could have been in these movies.
The pick for director was wrong, the plot sounds good on paper but neither the story nor the characters evolve to any level. Sheridan tries to break the barrier with his charming attitude.
At last I must say, the ending was to short, I mean that because I expected something more, some explenation. The movie is fair/good with many good scenes but with bad script. I think there is a good adventure there who wants out. Perhaps someone should do a sequel? A story that concerns the computergames perhaps. =) |

The movie was as good as at the cinema, I was very satisfied with the deleted scenes.
The first TombRaider DVD had cooler design and more stuff like the game demo.
It is sad that the deleted scenes cant be added to the movie itself but its nice that you can wiew them.
The layout is very nice with the music in the background.
My grade is 4 of five on this DVD.
