I got an e-mail from a DVD movie website mentioning Tomb Raider 2 Special Edition Widescreen (on DVD) will be available in early November.. is this true?
The movie was only released in July.. is that normal for movies to go to DVD so soon?
Uh well I guess since it didn't last long in theater or at least my theater they thought that maybe releasing it to the public more earlier on than most movies are released would attract more costumers and so (release from theater to video/DVD being a minimum of 9 months) this one only being only 4....But you heard right in early Nov. to be exact Nov. 18 I have already ordered my copy at Wal-Mart.com so all I have to do is wait, but while I'm waiting I'm going to the $1 theater and see it again before it comes out.
I don't think it has anything to do with a movie's box office take. I think it's just the film company and their policy. Plus, I think they want to get this movie out for the holidays. It would make a great gift.
I have seen a pattern in movies beening released in theatres and on home video. I roughly about 5 months for it for a movie to be released on videos from the time it is in theatres and it is true TR2 will be released on dvd in November 18 to be exacted.
