The intention of the directors was to have some parts of the movie, including the ending, open to the interpretation of each audience member.
Popular consensus agrees that Heather (holding the camera) and Michael (standing in the corner of the house not facing Heather) were killed.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Here's what happened. This is a pretty big spoiler, so don't click if you haven't seen the film yet.
Remember that creepy house with the cellar at the end of the film? It was the actually the site of many child murders several decades earlier. In the Rustin Parr prequel text, we find out that a young man named Kyle Brody lined up kidnapped children and would take two down to the cellar. He ordered one to stand in the corner. He'd kill the other one, but would let the child in the corner hear what he was doing. Kyle would then go on to kill the one in the corner. Kyle spent his days in an asylum afterward. It's entirely probable that he was either possessed by the Witch or some other supernatural force at work in the woods. Rustin Parr was tried and convicted for Kyle's crimes. That awful-looking house at the end of the movie is where all that went down earlier. As to what actually happened to Mike and Heather, I'd say Kyle's ghost killed them.
