So, how about those Bell Witch movies, eh? Three of them currently in some form of production leads one to wonder about the Witch that started it all. Where did our lovely Blair Witch run off to?
Well, I got an e-mail today from a writer for the magazine Micro Film with news on this very subject. Seems the scooper interviewed Blair Witch creator Ed Sanchez of Haxan Films about the forever-in-the-works prequel to the film, which Sanchez says is not exactly what Lions Gate wants. LGF, instead, wants a direct sequel (hopefully ignoring all aspects of Book of Shadows), whereas he and Dan Myrick still want to make the prequel they've been talking about for years now.
Given the actual sequel that was made, the duo is not exactly jumping up and down to revisit the legend, so it's possible Book of Shadows is, indeed, the last we will hear from the Blair Witch...
Oh, and another bit of oddness that our scooper pointed out. Today, October 21st, marks the tenth year anniversary of the day the three documentary filmmakers vanished in the woods.
