"First it was director Victor Salva talking about a possible sequel, now the "Jeepers Creepers" distributor has confirmed it.

A record Labor Day weekend bow of $15.8 million for United Artists/American Zoetrope's horror pic had it smelling a sequel. "We're already in talks," says Bob Levin, president of distribution and marketing at MGM. "We're very interested in doing a sequel for a picture like this that performs so well."

MGM and co-production partner Zoetrope hope Victor Salva ("Powder") will return to direct a sequel the film, whose supernatural killer sniffs his victims to find good body parts to consume."
