September 1, 2001 — That isn't saying much, I know, especially with the attempts at horror movies we have seen this year. But 13th Street really dug this movie. That is the same sentiment that I have seen most reviewers convey for this movie. This one look like a keeper, and until now, it totally was under my radar. Here's a clip:

Jeepers Creepers is, in my opinion, an example of something that has been sorely missing in the past few years of wide release horror films. I don't have to try and be nice about it by saying, "oh, there's this one kill that worked" or something. It's a sinister and chilling film that's also quite funny at times, but ultimately very dark. The feeling left behind by the ending is unexpected and longing. It's one of those movies that I hope all horror fans will see.
