July 21, 2002 — I found this article in the July 2002 issue of British film magazine Total Film, which hints at an earlier release;
"RED DRAGON
Ed Norton as troubled FBI agent Will Graham? Anthony Hopkins as a compu-'youngified' Dr Lecter? Ralph Fiennes as a serial killer? Out 2 October and bound to be better than Hannibal."
Bearing in mind, this may be a mistake, but Total Film is usually reliable. Therefore, the UK can probably expect to have it 2 days early. As for the US and the rest of the world, we will have to wait and see...
