come on,people.let's discuss mr.d!he's a textbook just waiting to be opened.i am obsessed with his character and besides,ralph could make me love lichen if he were portraying it.seriously,ralph as mr. d is so beautiful and so powerful and also so tragically human that i think he is one of the most intense characters that i have come across.how is his mr d different in the film than in manhunter?i haven't read that or seen it.talk to me,would you?

i would have to agree with you. Ralph Fiennes played Dolarhyde to a "T"... He was awesome. Besides Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal, I would have to say, and i'm being bold here, that Ralph Fiennes as Dolarhyde was brillant!

I haven't seen Ralph in any other movies, so I'm not being biased either.

And as far as the guy who played Dolarhyde in Manhunter (whats his name?), well, HE SUCKED.... sorry, i had to say it. He was horrible. Big tall bald headed freak! ok, calm down, he wasn't that bad.... no, no.... he was that BAD!

Actually, the whole movie was disappointing, not that I expected a blockbuster or anything, but... aargh, it was just bad.

...and that's my humble opinion....

hey favabeans.we must work on your education regarding mr.fiennes.you MUST begin an intensive study of a few of his films,so that in the future you CAN be biased and with good reason!check out:the english patient,schindler's list,wuthering heights,the end of the affair,and quiz show.these films will show you how versatile as well as mind-blowingly beautiful ralph is.by the way,some people don't know this but his name is pronounced like 'rafe fines'.cool,huh?anyway,he is the deal.but yeah,his mr d. can climb in my window anyday.after all,i don't particulary care for mirrors either...

Ralph Fiennes is amazing, I will whole-heartedly agree! Total babe, talented and damn, those intense blue eyes are just mesmerizing! My fave - Strange Days. I think he was perfect as the love-struck reluctant hero and oooohhhhh....that final kiss! Yum!

Mr. D was foul, but yes...his humanity was too much to ignore. He was the perfect monster...not just scary, but haunting. Well done!
