I don't know how many Hannibal Lecter films they'll make, and I don't know if they will just kill the Hannibal character in the fourth movie, but if everything goes well for Dr. Lecter, I have an idea for a possible Hannibal film that will never be made (Darn!). Anyway, here's the plot:
After many frustrating weeks of searching for the unstoppable Hannibal Lecter, the FBI has finally caught the bastard in the act of "entertaining" his new friends at a party (the guests are tied to chairs and waiting for their turn to be eaten). Hannibal's old muzzle is put back on, and he is dragged back to the exact same prison. This time, Hannibal is strapped down, and put in a cage with guards patroling around him daily. Everything is going smoothly until a small terrorist group comes into the prison and holds the guards and some prisoners hostage. And yes, they set Hannibal free. It is later discovered that the prisoner living in Hannibal's old cell had found a way to contact this group, and he knew Hannibal personally. Luckily for the hostages, an FBI team is on their way, lead by none other than, you guessed it, Clarice Starling (played by Jodie Foster)! After an intense battle with the terrorists and some prisoners, Clarice quickly becomes the sole survivor of her team. She is about to be killed herself when Hannibal stops them (isn't that nice?). The prisoner who contacted the terrorists in the first place (who I think should be played by John Malcovich) decides that Clarice's life should not be spared. The rest is basically Clarice and Hannibal vs. the really bad guys. Clarice and Hannibal will make a great team, as long as Clarice doesn't find out that she is next on Hannibal's dinner menu.

Right. I'm gonna be honest here. It's nice to see people coming up with ideas for future films, BUT (and this is a pretty significant thing) I'm afraid that idea isn't particularly great. Now, I want you to know that the following is intended as advice- NOT as insult or whatever.
Firstly, a good script needs lots of originality. We've already seen good and evil team up on several occasions (e.g. Blade II), and it doesn't have the same effect as it once did.
Secondly, alot of it is, effectively, a re-tread of what's already been done in the Lecter books and films. For instance, Lecter being captured at the beginning. We've seen it done, in fairly similar sircumstances. Also, the prisonner making contact with a Terrorist group is similar to Lecter contacting the Tooth Fairy.
Thirdly, it's gotta fit in with the other chapters. In the books, the mental prison has been shut down, as you would also know from the Deleted Scenes section on the Hannibal DVD. Also, Hannibal wouldn't attempt to kill Clarice, due to the fact that he has feelings for her. "I have no plans to call on you, Clarice. The world's far more interesting with you in it." Oh, and the prison is in Baltimore, whereas Clarice lives in Atlanta (I think- but it's definitly not Baltimore).
Fourthly, it's gotta be able to last for at least an hour and a half, if not 2 hours. Otherwise, you're screwed.
Fifthly, the Hannibal books are thrillers. What you've thought up is more of an action film.
Like I said, I don't intend to upset or annoy you, but help you with your idea. But carry on thinking things up if that's what you wanna do with your life. You can make it if you try hard enough. Now, bow down and kiss my feet.
