My favorite by and far would have to be "Silence of the Lambs" I Made sure I watched it before I saw Hannibal last year, and I fell in love then, usually i'm pretty fickle about saying things are my favorite, but this has been my favorite movie of all time since i first watched it last february. I can't get over how well Hopkins portrayed the role. Secondly out of the four would be red dragon, it was great, i loved every minute of it. I dont know why alot of people didn't like "hannibal" no it wasnt like Silence and it wasnt supposed to be, Ridley Scott did a great job with it. He made it a movie in and of itself, it could have stood well on its own with out silence. manhunter was Ok, i've watched it a few times and i own the 2disc dvd, but theres really nothing special about it, peterson was good in it, but a lecter movie without the real hannibal lecter just isnt the same. So out of the four this is my order
Silence of the Lambs (Greatest movie ever made...ever)
Red Dragon
Hannibal
Manhunter |

Silence, without a doubt.
The scene where Hannibal's using the cop's baton against him...scary as hell....
The thought that there might be people like Jame Gumb out there is enough to make my skin crawl,
but the first sight of Hannibal, just standing there...all the little hairs on the back of my neck go nuts. Fate...protects fools, little children, and ships named Enterprise.
"I'm not locked up in here with you . . . you're locked up in here . . . with ME . . . ." Rorshack
"I will now give my lecture on schizophrenia. Oh, no, you won't. Oh, shut up and let him talk."
Old age, deceit and treachery will beat youth, skill and enthusiasm every time...
Which is exactly why Logans Run would never work. |
