Now that the final movie for now has been made, which of the four is your favorite and why?

-Manhunter
-Silence of the Lambs
-Hannibal
-Red Dragon

My favorite of the 4 is HANNIBAL. Hannibal Lecter is not scary when he is locked up in a cell. In HANNIBAL, he is free to do what he wants, and your on the edge of your seat because you don't know what he will do next. You fear for anyone that comes near him. I also like the artistic style Ridley Scott brought to the movie. I liked it a lot more than the other 3 movies because it focused more on Hannibal but also his relationship to Clarice Starling. This is how I would rank the series:

1. Hannibal 10/10
2. Silence of the Lambs 9/10
3. Red Dragon 8/10
4. Manhunter 4/10

For me it has to be Silence of the Lambs. Someone said this in another post, that you can never duplicate the feeling you got when you first saw Hannibal on screen. It was a great experience and its true you will never get that feeling again, so thats why SOTL, to me, was the best, because you saw Hannibal Lecter for the very first time (excl. ManHunter.... ok, maybe I should saw, because its the first time you see Anthony Hopkins play Hannibal)...

I would ranked the films like this:

Silence of the Lambs 11/10
Red Dragon 8/10
Hannibal 7/10
Manhunter 2/10

My favorite by and far would have to be "Silence of the Lambs" I Made sure I watched it before I saw Hannibal last year, and I fell in love then, usually i'm pretty fickle about saying things are my favorite, but this has been my favorite movie of all time since i first watched it last february. I can't get over how well Hopkins portrayed the role. Secondly out of the four would be red dragon, it was great, i loved every minute of it. I dont know why alot of people didn't like "hannibal" no it wasnt like Silence and it wasnt supposed to be, Ridley Scott did a great job with it. He made it a movie in and of itself, it could have stood well on its own with out silence. manhunter was Ok, i've watched it a few times and i own the 2disc dvd, but theres really nothing special about it, peterson was good in it, but a lecter movie without the real hannibal lecter just isnt the same. So out of the four this is my order

Silence of the Lambs (Greatest movie ever made...ever)
Red Dragon
Hannibal
Manhunter

Silence of the lambs is definately my fav. I don't even consider Manhunter part of the Hannibal Lecter Series. So heres my Ranking.

Silence of the Lambs 10/10
Red Dragon 9.5/10
Hannibal 6.5/10 ( because they changed the ending )

My favorite will always be Silence of the Lambs. That movie saw Anthony Hopkins give one of the best performances in movie history! I've seen anything like that again. I like Hannibal because it puts Lecter and Clarice back together again. I also like the way it explored their relationship...and I love the score to the movie. Red Dragon might have the best cast, and it's a close tie to Hannibal. I thought Manhunter wasn't very good. I know that might upset a lot of people who post here...sorry, but it was pretty bad.

Mine goes like this:

Silence of the Lambs 10/10
Hannibal 8/10
Red Dragon 7/10
Manhunter 2/10

Freddys Back SUCKA

Im gonna have to go with Red Dragon. Edward Norton is THE BEST actor EVER and makes teh movie good plus hanniblaand red dragon are preet cool in it 2. Silence of the lambs is good, but not as good as all u posers say. Red Dragon is much scarier than Buffalo Bill. Manhunter i havent even seen, and i dont plan on seeing taht piece of gabage. Hannibal wasnt good at all except the death seensand the Savage Pigs plus im a Jason/Freddy horror movie kid myslef suckam, so heres my rankings

1. RED dragon (8/10)
2. Silence of The Lambs (7/10)
3. Hannibal (5/10)
2. ManHunter (-1/10)

Have to go with Red Dragon, mostly because of the dmension it adds to the trilogy. I LOVED Silence of the Lambs and Jodie Foster was impeccable, and honestly I think that Dragon only amplified my opinion of SotL. I just liked the depth of character and the overall consistancy of Dragon a TAD more. Hannibal was a "Fear Factor" wet dream - all gore, no fear. Haven't seen Manhunter, doubt I ever will. SO:

Red Dragon 9.9
Silence 9.8
Hannibal 3.0 (It *did* have Hopkins)
Manhunter N/A

Silence, without a doubt.
The scene where Hannibal's using the cop's baton against him...scary as hell....
The thought that there might be people like Jame Gumb out there is enough to make my skin crawl,
but the first sight of Hannibal, just standing there...all the little hairs on the back of my neck go nuts.
