I had read the book twice and the movie followed it very closely. It was a good adaptation but offered nothing new. I wasn't disappointed, just not overly happy. It was good, but not great. I think it's gonna take a couple of viewings to really begin to enjoy it. Mind you, the biggest disappointment for me was that they changed Dolarhyde's work place! It just doesn't work as well! Plus, there's my criticisms about the Lecter capture scene, and also that lovely little scene that should be there between Will and Willy (or Josh- another annoyance).
