Anticipation Level:
How excited (or not) I am to see this movie...

I wasn't looking forward to it but now I will see it again.
Movie Review:
My thoughts on this movie...
I was invited and saw this movie Crow: Wicked Prayer with my best friend in Universal City last week. Aint It Cool News posted a review and I wanted to comment but I can't figure out how to post mine on that site.

I thought Eddie Furlong was very very good as the Crow. He's an intense guy and he brought a real feeling of his love and darkness to the role. He's no action hero but I liked that.

Honestly I've been thinking alot about this movie since we saw it. It was at times disturbing and I was affected by some of the scenes and images that have stuck with me. What stood out most was a massacre in a barn and the beautiful reunion of Eddie's character and his lover. I don't really understand why Macy Gray was in the movie in such a small role or Hopper. I thought the Asian dude baddie was way too over the top but I liked the set up of the villians, except Tara Reid. I'm not a fan of Angel but that guy from it surprised me by not sucking. He had a scene where he meets his father's killer and you feel for him.

I was nervous to see it because my friend was involved with it, but I was relieved not to have to b.s. her about it afterword. This movie is not the greatest, but it is good. Eddie made it likeable and romantic and the values of it are great. It did not seem like the Crow, more like a myth/romance. Mostly I don't like horror or action but this was not bad. I liked that it didn't rely too much on gore and was more psychological. The talkbackers that badmouth it annoy me because they haven't seen it and they should wait until they do to judge, they will be surprised as I was. I recommend seeking it out.

I hope it comes out soon so you can see it too and judge for yourself.
