March 31, 2003 — Bernie Mac spoke to the Chicago Sun-Times about his character in Charlie's Angels 2:
We're brothers from another mother," he says about how his character is related to Bosley, played by Bill Murray in the original film.
"You see, Bill and I are related, but our father just messed around," he confided. "His Bosley was also adopted as a kid ...don't ask. The other thing I can tell you is that our father eventually brought him home and introduced us as brothers. Oh, one more thing. We came from a detective family."
So how does Mac enter the picture and explain Murray's absence in the sequel? "Well, Bill hooked up with the girls years ago. He used to come home and tell all these great stories about dissecting bombs. My dad and I frankly never believed him. In 'Full Throttle,' it's explained that he went on a special mission and asks me to fill his spot at the Angel's headquarters." |
