June 2, 2003 — From the Z Review:
Just received the following from Stacey who has been following the Ladder 49 filming "They were on Gay street yesturday . I have some photos for you. They were filming at Curtis Bay on Friday. On Monday they will be filming on Redwood Street. Filming went on on Friday until 3.30 Am when we saw John Travolta leaving the filming and he stopped to say goodnight. Made my day." Thanks to Stacey!
As an addendum to this report just received the following updates to Thursdays filming "The shoot on Thursday went pretty well. They shot inside the War Memorial in Balto, and there were several real firefighters there with their families. The scene was a medal ceremony in which Joaquin Phoenix and Robert Patrick's characters received medals. Morris Chestnut was walking around in makeup that made him look like he had been injured in a fire, though he wasn't in the actual scene. Real life Mayor of Balto Mayer O'Malley played himself in the ceremony, handing out the awards." Thanks to L! And just as I was wrapping up the report I have just received an email advising that the filming on Ladder 49 is drawing to a close "John will be at his last taping for Ladder on Tuesday June 3." Thanks to D!
The set report included photos, which may be found in the multimedia section. |
