this book is one of my summer reading books. Who else has to read it? Is it good? What is it about?

Phoebe: Sorry, had to grab my broom.
Piper: For what?
Phoebe: Well, for flying, silly. (They hear a man yelling from the attic.) Uh-oh, another innocent to save.
The book is very good. I had to read it for a historical fiction class, and out of the 5 or so books that we read, this one was my favorite. The author makes up a story of the girl featured in Vermeer's (the famous Dutch artist) painting of the same name, and the story centers around her and how she became the model for the painting. The author takes a lot of facts from Vermeer's life and she works them into the novel, although the story itself is fiction. Its a compelling read and I hope the movie can capture that same feeling.
