The Notebook “Charming Movie” — Angele3030 [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... After seeing the previews I thought this film would be a different pace from the other blockbuster movies coming out this summer and was I right. I went to see a special screening and wasn't disappointed, even though watching the preview you pretty much know the concept of the film it didn't demish from it at all. I continue to be a huge Ryan Gosling fan, after doing an excellent job in The Believer, he eases into the leading romantic role quite beautifully in this film. This was also a great vehicle for Rachel McAdam who is usually in teen comedies. Having two screen legends like Gena Rowlands and James Garner made the film even more special.
