May 17, 2002 — Director Robert Luketic got his hands on the Blonde 2 script last week, and although is tentative on his involvement, has confirmed that the movie is set in the halls of power in Washington, D.C. Elle (Reese Witherspoon) visits the White House and Congress. Luketic says he and Witherspoon are approaching the project with eyes open. "We're going to wait to see what the material is. Ultimately, it's the screenplay that will decide, because we don't want to bring shame on the first one, like many [sequel] productions do."
