A friend of mine who is a vice president over at the WB has confirmed that Josh Hartnett is signed on to play Superman in the Upcoming Batman/Superman motion picture. The hold up was negotiations about a further franchise which Hartnett was afraid would get in the way of other projects. This issue is now resolved and he is signed on not only to the upcoming Batman/Superman picture but also two Superman movies.

Could Hartnett be starring in McG's Superman flick as well? Stay tuned!
