I think a lot of it is also his name. Christopher Reeve. I think, because of the s and the v, that it has a sort of flying, soaring, sound to it. It just seems to fit in with the whole Superman persona. I'm being dead serious, but I'm also kind of talking out of my ass lol.
But, of course, there was also his brilliant performance. Perhaps the greatest portrayal of Superman I have ever seen. Dean Cain Was really good, though. I liked that show a lot.
