Sigh... the theatres from my home town haven't even premiered it!! Oh well. Only Taking Lives and Dawn of the Dead (which i saw today..yeah..wuhu... & ), have been premiered. *switches to winny little girl mode* but..but...I wanted...wanted...to.. to see this one !!!!
*switch back to normalcy*
Sigh...I guess what's left is to be patient...
i saw it. it was great. very different from the first draft of the script concerning the manuscript-carrying old woman going through the tube at the beginning and the end. although, it does retain its achronological structure. which is weird once the credits start in on joel crying his eyes out. its unexpected.
i thought the title was long until i learned it originally was going to consist of 18 words---Winslet's (Clementine's) 18 different hair colors (ie blue ruin, agent orang -- she made that one up).
i actually typed up a long-long-ass reply here but it erased when i registered.
bottom line:
see this movie now. ditch work, school, kids, family, life in general -- those are all distractions getting in the way of your visual pleasure.
see this movie repeatedly. the second time plot can move into your subconcious and just absorb all the texual and visual arousal. it is quite hot. definately kaufman's best work thus far. and godrey ****ing ruled with the visuals.
carrey was amazing; kate was hot-as-hell and also a ton better -- she totally redeemed her lame-ass Titanic label.
